Use your vehicle list and real scenarios to compare solutions. Ask the supplier to show the workflow and confirm the complete setup and cost.
Bring a working day to the demonstration
A feature list is difficult to compare in isolation. Bring three situations that regularly create work for the office: finding a nearby vehicle, explaining a journey, checking a site arrival or reviewing rising fuel use. Ask the supplier to walk through each one.
Use your actual vehicle mix. Cars, vans, HGVs, trailers and powered equipment can need different devices, connections and installation arrangements. A platform can support a feature while your proposed hardware cannot supply the required information.
Ask to see the detail behind the promise
Check how the platform presents last contact, missing data, journey history and report periods. Ask how your team retrieves the information and which exports or schedules are included. A polished map is only the start of the daily workflow.
For specialist requirements, ask specific questions. Which vehicles can supply fuel and AdBlue? What is needed for remote tachograph collection? Are camera events available with the chosen hardware? Confirm what is included now and what would require another module.
Compare the complete arrangement
Request a written explanation of equipment, installation, subscriptions, optional modules and support. Establish the contract length, renewal terms and what happens when a vehicle is replaced or a device needs attention. Compare like-for-like quotations rather than a headline monthly figure.
Plan the rollout as well as the purchase. Identify who will manage vehicle groups, users, driver information and report recipients. Agree who trains the office and drivers and how support requests are handled after installation.
- Demonstrate your real dispatch and reporting tasks.
- Confirm compatibility against the vehicle list.
- Get the equipment, modules and full price in writing.
- Agree installation, training, support and vehicle-change processes.
Make the next step specific
A useful GTrak demonstration is built around your operation. Tell us the fleet size, vehicles, existing equipment and the questions you need answered. We can show the relevant tools and explain the setup needed, including any limits on vehicle data or advanced modules.
